Joel Sperry spent 34 years
in the fire service

He retired out of the department, looked around Fairbanks, and could not find anybody doing surface cleaning the way he thought it ought to be done. Not badly, exactly. Just not carefully.

So in January 2019 he and his wife bought the equipment and started Arctic Blasters LLC. It is still a family business. His sons Timothy and Michael and his nephew Adam work the jobs with him.

That matters more than it sounds like it should. You are not calling a franchise office and you are not getting strangers each visit. Joel answers the phone, the people who turn up are his family, and he is the one who has to look at the finished job before anyone leaves.

Thirty-four years of running toward other people's worst days leaves you with a particular habit: show up when you said you would, and do not walk away until the thing is actually dealt with. That is most of what this business is.
